Guest guest
Does anyone have a problem putting on their shoes and having their big toe fold under, making it very difficult to get your shoe on? What do you do? I wait a few minutes and try again, which is time consuming. I would like to see everyone's pictures as well. Joan
Guest guest
Yes, 's big toe curl under. What she has resorted to doing is pulling up on her sock so her toe begins pointed upwards. This is frustrating for her too and doesn't always work. a(proud mother of )
Guest guest
My toes have been dead for about 25 years, I had my orthopedic shoe maker glue a thin layer of leather to Spenco insoles. This makes a slippery surface once they have been worn for a period of time. During the breaking in period and on occassion put a little baby powder on the area where the toes will curl, this makes it easier for toes to slide in. Just be cautious after you take the shoes off as there could be powder on your socks. Also I used to be able to put my finger under my toe and lift it up, but couldn't when I switched to 8 " tall work boots on the metal braces (I needed ankle support). I resorted to having a little wider shoe that I could move my foot sideways a little if my toe was curled under. Just recently I have switched to AFO's (hard plastic with solid ankle support) and don't have the problem since I must strap on the AFO first and then put the shoes on, because there is no movement in the ankles. The metal braces have springs in the ankles to allow me to slide my foot in at an angle greater than 90 degrees. I hope this helps.
