Guest guest
Hello everyone. Well an update for you. I went to my Mental Health appointment on Friday and told my case manager that I had thought that I had RLS and she asked what all symptoms I had so I informed her and told her that I thought I had developed this after starting my antidepressant of Effexor. She wanted to know how long I had been on this antidepressant and told her around 3 years now. She talked with a physcharatrist don't think I spelled that right anyway he was very upset with this said that yes some antidepressants do trigger RLS and couldn't believe that I had never been treated correctly! So next month I go in to see a Doctor to help me get the right kind of treatment and I hope and pray to God that I might finally get some much needed relief! Not to sure how much help I will receive since mine has developed into a daytime and evening symptoms hopefully it is not to late in this syndrome where maybe I can get back to where I used to be? My left leg has become so weak and has been for so long that it is hard to say what can be done for me. So , just to pass along anyone who is on antidepressants if you think your antidepressant has attributed to this syndrome don't wait as long as I have to get medical help and a diagnosis. I'm going to make sure that I am diagnosed next month with this syndrome so it is in my medical records!! I have decided if I have to apply for Disability due to this syndrome I will just have to learn to live with it and maybe help other people who are dealing with this sleepless and painful syndrome! Will update group with more as I go along and thanks to this group who helped me find my answers that I had been seeking for so long.
