Guest guest
To anyone with any info: I have been taking iron supplements for about a month now--325 mg a day with B supplements and occasionally some Vit C. powder at lunchtime dor better absorption. I am also taking calcium and magnesium at breakfast so as not to interfere with iron absorption. My ferritin tested at 30. My question is 'what is the maximum of iron that I can take? " I noticed one reference to taking 325 mg. three times daily. I'm not sure there's been any significant change yet. My rls did get better, but I had run away from home for six weeks and think just the reduced stress and increased physical activity had the most effect. Now I'm back home, the doctor's put me on Xanax as opposed to clonazepam (which was worse than useless) and I've been waiting to adjust to the Xanax (dizziness and nausea) before resuming the supplement and exercise regimen. I do get nauseated with the iron and unfortunately constipated too (psyllium to counteract that). Any info, suggestions? The quicker my levels rise, the quicker my rls will disappear hopefully.
