Thank you, Larry >> Hi Larry: Bud here-- I had surgery on both my feet when I was about 18. My feet were so high in the arch that I could not wear leather shoes wore " tennis " shoes only. My feet are straighter now (no beauty prize ). Afterwards, I could wear shoes-- not always with great comfort--I wear AFOs and it has helped me a lot. I am now in my 70's and still glad I had it done. The atrophy progressed but I never " turn my ankles " when I walk & the AFOs help with foot drop.
