Hi Larry:

Bud here-- I had surgery on both my feet when I was about 18. My feet were so

high in the arch that I could not wear leather shoes wore " tennis " shoes

only.

My feet are straighter now (no beauty prize :) ). Afterwards, I could wear

shoes-- not always with great comfort--I wear AFOs and it has helped me a

lot. I am now in my 70's and still glad I had it done. The atrophy progressed

but I never " turn my ankles " when I walk & the AFOs help with foot drop.

To each, his own to make these difficult decisions,

Bud in TX
