Yo LindLee,

You mentioned your Mom is experiencing RLS due to a trauma-induced incident.

Can you elaborate? I keep all trauma-related correspondence and would like

understand the nature of the trauma. That is of course, if you want to. Email

if you would so inclined. Thanks.

Yo ,

Take heart. Trauma-related RLS seems to be stronger than the genetic type (

Always exceptions) and can be hard to tackle at first. Does your mom get it in

the arms also? Most trauma-related RLS includes the arms ( my findings maybe

such a report exists), especially if the operation or injury occurs the neck

or head. Neurontin will take about a week to do its job. The combo of Vicodin

will hopefully make her comfortable. Let me know if her upper extremities or

torso have RLS. Watch out for PLMS also, she most likely will experience that

is she has RLS already.

Much love and luck to you and especially your mother during her healing

process.
