Guest guest
I am so happy to find this rls support. I know you all understand what it is like trying to tell others of your condition, even the doctor. I have suffered rls since I was in grade school, about the age of 12. I am now 50. I can remember the first article I read about rls, it was in Readers Digest about 20 yrs ago. I was sooo relieved to find out I wasn't crazy! The article told about a woman that was so afflicted that her husband would find her sleeping in the bath tub in the morning. Geez, that could have been me! When I finally convinced the doctor I knew what I had(he thought I slept all day and was a nite owl), he started prescribing drugs. Unfortunately, only one worked for a short time, that was quinine. Just like that it quit working. I was devastated! I had 60 days of wonderful sleep. I am lucky if I get 3 hours of restful sleep a night. I have to take 'power' naps during the day to keep functioning. You all understand, don't you? I am looking forward to share my thoughts and anxious to hear everyones way of dealing with this terrible condition.
