I used to sew a lot. I haven't for about a year. When I found the need to use a

needle and thread, the pincher muscle wouldn't work to well. I discovered if I

put a rubber thumb like the ones you get in a stationary store, on my index

finger I could do the sewing and the rubber thumb helped me grip. We now have

new seat covers for our camper. And I made them.

Well done. I couldn't sew when my hands worked normally, never mind now. If I

sewed a button on a shirt - the shirt fell off.
