Celexa anecdote ....

Good Evening, Everyone......

I just wanted to share this letter that I received today from my daughter, who

was trying a new antidepressant. I know a few of us have mentioned this drug

before. I think I'm ready for it..........

Subj: Celexa!

Hey Gals,

You know... I think it's actually doing something. Certainly no side

effects here yet. I read the complete breakdown from the placebo trials

on the web - it tells the whole picture. Someone could say look there

was a 14% incidence of ... but when you see that 11% of

the placebo patients reported it too, your realize it's not as big of a

deal.

Mom, if Zoloft isn't doing anything for you, please ask your Dr. to try

this! Please!

Laun, I don't know if you're taking anything like this or not... but if

you ever consider trying an antidepressant, try this one first. Maybe

it works well with our families body chemistry. ;>

I went through my 7 day trial pack. Then called the Doc back to say

everything's ok and had him call in an Rx to Longs. As usual, he keeps

me on a short leash at first (even though this is my 4th SSRI). Only 15

pills at a time, and after 2 more refills I have to go back and get

another Rx from him. I grumble when I pick up my Rx and there's just a

little pile of pills in the bottom of the bottle... but it does remind me

that I'm on a new drug when the bottle runs out so soon and so often. ;>

Dr. S. has had a lot of success with it on people who didn't respond to

Zoloft, or any of the other SSRIs, or experienced side-effects. His

impression is that it's " cleaner " and more effective. His patients have

reported no side-effects, and more positive effects than any of the other

drugs.

I tried Celexa in December, and never even made it through the trial 7-day

packet - I felt AWFUL !
