Guest guest
I was on crutches for around 6 months before I could walk on my foot. Fortunately for me, my Algebra teacher was paralyzed from the waist down in a motorcycle accident early in life, and wore braces and walked on crutches also. He taught me a lot about how to do things for myself while having to rely on the crutches--like how to hold the door open for yourself on crutches, and then how to close a door once you step through on crutches. I have had many surgeries since then (I'm 33 now) and always impress people with my independence on crutches! Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do! Patience and good luck!
