Guest guest
Becky, Wow, sounds like you are undergoing many challenges right now! Hang in there, and good luck with the new KAFO. I would be interested in hearing more about it as you go along. Regarding your son, a really good pair of walking sneakers (perhaps a New Balance???) may provide the ankle support he needs for the moment. New Balance seems to have some of the best technology available for gait enhancement in athletic shoes, in my very humble opinion. I have seen many references to this brand from orthotists and CMTers alike. Remember this slang expression from the 70's... Keep on truckin'!!! Guest guest
I wear New Balance and I personally feel they are the best. If you need a wide width to accommodate AFO's or whatever, they are great. Just take out the inner sole to give you more room. New Balance has a great website where they have all their shoes listed. Sports authority carries a D width, even rarely a EE, but the net has it all, in all sizes. Visit it sometime.
