Guest guest
Kate... I'm so glad you had a good night, despite your fears. I've been taking calcium and magnesium...not QUITE in those dosages, though. And I haven't seen the blend with melatonin. Could you pass along the product and/or company name?? I'm glad your " bag of tricks " is filling. Did you see my letter, recently, where I realized I actually had three different types of RLS attacks? I'm trying to organize my " bag of tricks " so that I will use them in a little different order, depending on which type of RLS I have. If it's muscle involvement, I'll go straight to stretching or massaging. If it's overall panic and full body RLS, I'll need movement, change of thought and activity, hot tub, etc. If it's the " old kind " that I grew up with for the first 30 years...just the urge to move my legs when the wave of weird feeling hits...then I can use concentration, suckers, music, etc. Seems pretty complicated, but with time and practice, I'll get it straight. Meanwhile, it really helps to keep adding to the possibilities. I've tried melatonin, before, with no luck. In fact, I suspected it made it worse. BUT, I'm a firm believer in not ruling things out after one or two tries. It could have been a VERY severe night when nothing would have helped. Or the type or strength of melatonin might have been wrong. Or it's possible that it would work differently in combination with the calcium and magnesium in my system. Who knows? But it's along the lines of what I'm already doing, at it sounds interesting.
