Guest guest
Well, I've been reading the posts about vitamins, medications, and the like. I decided this weekend, since it was my weekend off from work, that I would try to get back on course, taking better care of myself. I phoned my mother and told her I would not be visiting this weekend(she's 125 miles away, 2.5 hrs by car) that I needed to rest and just get caught up on things around the house. Well, the weather was cold and rainy, so I planned on cleaning up my room, writing out bills, spending time with friends. This was going to be the couple days where I would not take any Darvocet for pain, I would rest instead. And only take my prescribed Vioxx for pain, and Serzone for clinical depression. Excercise on my Bowflex. Eat good meals. Well, today I fell down the steps in my house! Now I am sore-both feet instead of just the right one that's had all the surgery, my left shoulder, my left hamstring. This really sucks. I'm so sick of this! I finally get a few days off work, away from stress, and this is what happens. And I can't take off tomorrow because I'm saving my time off for surgery coming up in mid July for this right foot of mine. This CMT really affects every aspect of our lives, and no one even realizes it. People may see a limp, but the most they think is " Oh, Joyce's foot is bothering her today " . They don't realize " Joyce's foot bothers her " EVERY day! And so much more. How do you convey that message without sounding like a whiner?! EVERY DAY and NIGHT! Sorry, I'm just fed up today. I'm positive you've all been here. It's just discouraging. I'm not so much physically injured as I am angry that things like this happen so often, and it happens no matter what I try to do to help myself. Thanks for listening. I'm glad to have this forum for " venting " and receiving EMpathy, rather than SYMpathy.
