He just thought, rightly I might add, that I was doing pretty good at the time taking the Permax......hence, why fix something that ain't broke, if you know what I mean. Well, I think it is broke now and that is why we will have to discuss the Mirapex or other alternatives soon. I respect my internist/sleep doc's opinion. He seems too conservative at times but I am glad that he is that way. Doctor's are kinda like accountants in that YOU pay them to be somewhat conservative even if you don't like it and/or it seems (at the moment) " slow " at the time. Do you really want an accountant who wants to " play around " with your tax returns and/or whole-heartedly supports/endorses every " new " possibly risky " trick " to help reduce your tax-bill or improve your finances today, not tomorrow? I think that is why many people are so critical of their medical care. They don't understand that " good " docs are rather conservative. They don't like to " experiment " with nor on their patients. As a " suffering " patient, we get rather impatient with our doc's " slowness " to provide all the answers and to cure our ills today! That is one reason so many people run-off to alternative remedies all-the-while slamming traditional medicine. Traditional medicine can NOT give you health nor a healthy life - health is a state of mind. Traditional docs like to treat things that they can " measure. " How do you measure a state of mind? Traditional medicine CAN cure certain disease states and certain bodily malfunctions. RLS can not be cured (now) but there is hope! Never give up hope! IMHO RAINBOWPED@...
