Guest guest
Hello All Yep, you can add me to the list with memory loss. I'm certainly not sure whether it is the meds or the age or the lack of sleep, but it's a bummer for sure. I also truely believe that we must exercise our minds in order not to lose them ))). Too bad I don't pay attention to that addage when it comes to physical exercise ( Anyway, I thought I'd share with you all some of my personal therapy. I am one who finds music is a real saving grace. I listen to music most of the day at work, (softly), and I have music playing at nite to go to sleep by. I have been going to sleep to music since at least the age of 12...EVERY nite. Now...at age 58, since I must do something to exercise the brain that is also fun and calming to me...I have begun to learn to play guitar. It is amazing, that when I'm having a bad day with the legs and arms buzzing like mad at me, when I get home from work, I can pick up the guitar and sit down and begin practicing and within only a few minutes I feel much relief!! I'm so thankful for this. It sure does make me have to think, I get to tap my feet, and my fingers and arms are moving too...It's the best thing I've found for ME since ice cream!!!!! I'm thinking that when I get to a stage where I'm good enough that I don't mind others knowing what I'm up to, I will take the guitar to work with me and practice on my lunch hour. Lord knows, therapy at work is sorely needed. Hope this makes some of you think that you might give something like this a shot...it sure can't hurt. Talk soon (after practice) LOLOL Jude
