Guest guest
Hello folks, my name is Greg and I have just been diagnosed with RLS. It does make sense that this may be causing my sleeping problems. I am usually awakened at night by what feels like my pets walking on my bed. But, after awakening I discover that it is not the pets it's me jumping and kicking. My legs feel like the muscles are contantly having to be moved in order to stretch them out of they continue to ache endlessly. Is this a symptom of RLS? At work my legs ache to the point that I have to get up and walk around before they stop hurting. Another symptom? I am very unfamiliar with this and have read some material on it that I have found on the Internet. This is all very helpful. My Doctor has begun a prescription of Simetec (sp) once before bed and then one after 2 to 3 hours if the problem persists. Has anyone else been started on this regimin and found that it just did not do the job? RIght now, I dread having to lay down and try to sleep. I know it will take be several hours before I do sleep and then I have to get right back up for work. I would appreciate any insight some of you might be able to provide concerning this. I guess I am fortunate that my Doctor does realize this condition and is helping me treat it. Thank you.. Greg
