visit to the doctor

Hi everyone

I've been to my neuroligst today. I told him about the pain in my

hands and the troubles sleeping. He checked me out and said that my

physical condition hasn't change, he suggested that the hands

troubles might be related to CTS (Curppel Tunnel Syndrom), and that

if the pain continues I'll get another EMG test to find out for sure.

About the sleeping troubles he doesn't think that they are related to

the CMT but he sends me to a sleep lab, to have things checked.

I'll keep you informed.

I've been reading the letters people wrote here about the attitude of

doctors toward them, I have to admit I'm lucky in that subject, my

doctor is great, and my father is an orthopedic suergon, so the

doctors I'm going to are mostly people he knows.

You are indeed blessed to find a great Dr and one that respects you. I am

sure having a father who is an orthopedic surgeon, helps. Mostly, I wish that

I had that kind of relationship with my Dr. Our old family practice Dr(well

he was only 41) quit his practice when the HMOs starting telling him how to

run his practice and only giving him 7.5 minutes to see a pt. He was loved

and sorely missed.
