Guest guest
I notice that there is a lot of discussion about CMT pain on the site. I have used ativan (a benzopadine) at a dosage of 0.5 to 1 mg every 36 hours to help me through pain episodes for the past 20 years. The recommended dose is 1-3 mg per day, but I have found that makes me a zombie. At the lower dosage, I have found that ativan helps both the pain and the anxiety that is associated with CMT, but you need to be careful because it can be habit forming and produce significant side effects if you try to withdraw from it suddenly. I have also tried neurontin for a short period of time, but ativan worked better for me. Larry Heitkemper Re: Loss of Feeling Hi all, I forgot to mention I had a kitchen fire about 16 yrs ago.....long before I knew I had the CMT.....It was a a bad grease fire and stupid me freaked out and didn't think about what I was doing and thru water on it to put it out NEVER DO THAT!!!
