Guest guest
Dear Connie and other with Fibromyalgia, Just a quick word. Fibromyalgia usually does not respond well to deep massage. It tends to stir up all sorts of toxins and can increase your pains. Very light massage with very gentle stretching usually works best along with a good exercise program. I say usually because everyone is different and there can be those few fibro people who are OK with deep massage. Most aren't though, so be careful. I am finding that fibro has a commponent of poor lymphatic circulation so stirring up too many toxins overwhelms the system. I just wish you could find a physical therapist who has studied Advanced Strain Counterstrain techniques with Sharon Weiselfish-Giammatteo or her faculty. I am having pretty good luck with this though I do not have a big enough base yet to " prove " it to the docs. Anyway, good luck, Lee, PT Citrus Heights, CA
