Guest guest
Its me. I read the digest most days, have been pretty well controlled with my 'regime'- permax, xanax, st. john's wort, no caffeine, no alcohol (I tested this at Christmas and paid for it), yoga...... I saw the sleep neurologist who diagnosed rls, told me I could try neurotonin when the permax no longer works, was very supportive etc., But what I really want to mention is the rocking - I was a rocker on hands and knees, in bed. I have very early memories of getting to sleep that way. And I used to 'rock' on the couch - we called it 'banging' then, (more innocent times). I would hurl myself forward and back, humming a tune 'uhn uhn uhn uhn ....uhn ha ' or (amateur psychiatrists take note) 'I hate mommmy , uhn uhn uhn '. By the hour. With lots of little ones and a very busy mom , I guess we learned to rock ourselves. Now I have a glider rocker in my studio and sit and rock while pondering, I find it soothing. We need these little crutches to get through life, I think. That's all. Margaret 47, Alberta
Guest guest
Margaret, my brother used to rock his crib across the room - he also hummed while he rocked, but I'm the one with rls, not him! Also, there were only the two of us kids, with six years between us, so my mother had plenty of time to nurture, which she did. He however is learning disabled, with at least one diagnosis of schizophrenia, so I guess drawing the rls gene was my lucky break in life. ne, 58, Lawrenceville, NJ On Sun, 17 Jan 1999 23:39:51 -0600 " Walter May " wmay@...> writes: > > >Its me.
