It helped with the pain and depression and I was able to get to sleep. BUT, It had one side affect that I couldn't ignore. WEIGHT GAIN! I guess some folks just have that kind of reaction to amytriptyline! But I've always had wierd reactions to anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medicines!
