Your message got me thinking. Perhaps an even faster way to get rid of

the " >> " s is to click on the " Edit " command on the toolbar, and then

select the " Replace " command. (I'm on Windows 3.11 and use Microsoft

Works, but these--or similar commands--should be on all systems.) The

" Find What " box that appears will let you enter, for example, the " > "

symbol. In the " Replace with " line, just leave it blank. Click " OK, "

and the " > " symbol will be removed from your entire document.
