As far back as I can remember after I was diaagnosed with CMT, I felt

numbness in my feet - after being on them for any length of time. Then

in college, I had numbness in my arms. I say " had " because I don't have

it anymore, except if I am on my feet too much.Once I sit down and do

something sedentary, the numbness dissappears. With my arms, I would

hold them up above my head, and the numbness would go away. My CMT

symptoms come and go - always have.

It's very normal, and your question is probably either the no. 1 or

no. 1 everybody asks -- how long? for either numbness or swelling.

For some people, the numbness goes away pretty rapidly. For others,

it can take months, or even years.

If you start getting " stabbies " " itches that can't be scratched " or

burning -- all can be good signs that healing is under way.

Good wishes to you.
