DEAR KATHLEEN

I AGREE WITH YOUR COMMENTS ON THE SO CALLED PAINLESS CMT. MY DAUGHTER SUFFERS A

GREAT DEAL OF PAIN, AND THERE HAS BEEN MANY DOCTOR TELL ME THERE IS NO PAIN

ASSOCIATED WITH CMT. WHAT DO THEY KNOW ? THEY ARE NOT THE ONES SUFFERING. I

ALSO READ WITH INTEREST THE ARTICLES ON GENETICS. STEPHANIE HAS CMT TYPE 1B AND

WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS IS A VERY RARE FORM OF THE DISEASE. I HAVE HAD A

BLOOD TEST DONE WHICH TESTS THE P0 GENE, TO SEE IF I TOO HAVE THE DISEASE. OR

WHETHER THIS IS A MUTATION. LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE WITH

CMT TYPE 1B, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR COMMENTS.

REGARDS

JULIE
