Guest guest
I definately had RLS at a child! I remember sitting in kindergarten and feeling the need to stretch and kick my legs all the time. Also used to complain about this to my mother when I would go to bed - she'd give me children's aspirin - which of course did nothing (I guess there is no baby Mirapex or baby Sinemet - lol) Every time I went to the doctor - for whatever reason, I would tell him about my legs. He said I had " growing pain " Starting at 3 or 4? (well, that's as early as I can remember - I must've had it before that) and still have them at 44? I don't think so. Also, I recently heard that my friend's niece is pregnant - I remembered when her mother was pregnant with her - and was complaining that the pregnancy caused her to have these strange sensations in her leg - where she felt like she had to move them all the time. My mother told her that she had had that when she was pregnant too, and showed the woman how she would point her toes in order to stretch the leg muscles. I said, Hey, that's just what I have! (I think I was about 11 or 12) My mother told me that it was something that happens to pregnant woman (she knows better now!) On the subject of weight - I was thin as a child, heavy as a teenager, and thin - (very thin at times) as an adult - had RLS through it all (through thick and thin I guess you could say) That's all from me today Sleep well everyone - in NYC where it is hot and HUMID!
