Guest guest
Hi, Dom here, I wear an ankle support to stop me twisting my ankle when walking, but recently I have noticed that it might be pushing my foot inwards, I have noticed a bone starting to stick out of outside of my foot, and yesterday when I went a day without it, I could really notice my foot turning in and I also felt no support, like I was going to twist my ankle every step, I really had to think about my walking, which is hard when trying not to walk into people down a busy street. If I wear a bigger support, then it does not provide me with enough support. I am going to see my surgeon in mid-february, and I will see what he has to say about it. He is a good surgeon, and unlike a lot of old surgeons, he does not want to operate until it starts to hurt, or until I want to have anything done. At the moment I just want to get college out of the way and see some of the world before I have anymore surgery. Is it just me, or is the worst part of having an operation, the wait before you go down to the operating theatre/ room. I have got to have a small operation in July, but it is just the thought of the anaesthetic, and having R2D2 breathing for you that really puts me off. Any comments?
