Guest guest
Hi Group, Trying to send this again. There were NO attachments last time. Does this program think URLs and mail addresses are attachments? Or maybe it was my signature. Anyhoo, here's the message. Hope it goes thru this time. Hi RLS Group, Never knew Dr. Levin - sounds like he was a very special part of this group! " Bill " asked me to pass this information on to you. There IS someone who is willing and able to answer your RLS questions. Dr. Mark J. Buchfuhrer will respond to your questions. Contact him by writing to somno@... and come to the Southern California RLS Support Group homepage at http://surf.to/rls . Many of your questions might be answered on those pages. Dr. B is truly an amazing man....I just found out he also maintains the site! Change of subject alert: Re Quinine When I was first diagnosed with RLS way back in the early '80s Quinam was prescribed, the Rx version of quinine sulfate capsules. When I wasn't being prescribed the Quinam any longer (yech, that horrid taste!) I tried the quinine sulfate and sometimes Q-Vel. Both were somewhat helpful but I had to take so much of the quinine to be effective. And overdosing made me nauseous and made my hearing go out of whack...as if I was under water. I'm absolutely amazed at the person taking 650 mg!!! No ill effects? I recommend that you find something else because there ARE more effective meds available. Cheers, Joyce
