Guest guest
Sorry for the delay in answering your question Connie......... Anterograde (antegrade): moving or extending forward. Retrograde: moving backward; degenerating, deteriorating. Benzodiazepines have been associated with anterograde amnesia/memory loss; where as, they don't cause retrograde amnesia/memory loss. Benzodiazepines have also been associated with the inability of word recall. Hence, benzo's can " retard " learning new things and the ability to recall learned words but don't interfere with long-term memory. So, I can remember my " old " wife very well but I keep forgetting my " new " wife's name! Ouch! Just kidding! This " old dog " knows everything anyway and what's left to learn, eh? Can't teach an " old dog " new tricks anyhow! Ho-hum! LOL! Gimme another Xanadu! , 440, Space & Rocket City MD
