Uh, uh, I never went to kindergarten!

I guess I need to buy & read that book called, uh, something like everything

I know I learned in kindergarten.

Well, everything I know I learned in outer space. Geez, that gives me

an idea......another book in the making!

Well, I did not go to kindergarten because we could not find an extra-cave to

use. Plus, we did not have shoes to wear (raised in Mississippi) and to walk

all those miles in the snow was too much but I did enjoy walking on the

gravel dirt roads. Boys like to throw rocks you know. But that was okay, I

got to spend my pre-school years playing with my stones & spears and my pet

dinosaur, Rex. I like home-schooling too but we called it cave-schooling. I

really liked the cave painting classes. We did not learn about rainbows

'cause it hadn't rained yet - you know, pre-flood days. That is why I am so

facinated with rainbows now. When we moved to Mars, we learned about the

ancient floods there and such. I once found a rock containing microscopic

life " forms " and I threw it into the sky and it never fell back down. I

think that is MY rock they found on the North Pole and I want it back!

Here on planet Earth, kindergarten is where children learn social

skills. They are considered by many of us humanoids to be the most

important skills of all.

I'm sorry, and everyone, but I just had to write this!LOL (and

may the force be with you)

Geez, how did I ever get to the ripe old age of almost 72 without attending

kindergarten!! I remember the day my Mom took me to school to start

kindergarten. I took one look at all those savages and freaked out so she

took me home for another year. Neither of my children attended kindergarten

either. Since it all turned out all right we must have learned our social

skills from interaction with the family around us and the neighborhood kids,

church and social gatherings. Could it be that at least some of the

troubles now being encountered in our schools are due to today's children

receiving their social skills ONLY in kindergarten where there cannot be

even a whisper of the basic reasons for right and wrong for fear that,

heaven forfend, RELIGION may raise its ugly head?

Forgive me for blasting off. You see I'm an ardent admirer of home

schooling where I've met some of the most well adjusted, intelligent

children on the social scene. They have entered college at the top of their

grade and remained so throughout their college careers. One is now a

lawyer, two more are missionaries, one is CEO of a growing company. You can

hardly beat that.

So CHEERS and what a lovely weekend this is.
