Guest guest
Hi gang, I sent this out a couple of days ago, but never saw it on the list, so I guess it didn't get there. I'll try again. One of the members of my support group called me the other day to tell me about her RLS case. Seems she had a hysterectomy 15 years ago, and naturally was put on estrogen. That's when her RLS began and it got worse and worse. (Incidentally, for those who don't know this, most of the estrogen given to women is made from the urine of pregnant mares!!!) Anyway, the member said she heard about natgural estrogen, made from plants, and asked her doctor. The doc gave her a prescription for " Estrodiol " 1 mg. This is the natural stuff. She has been on it for 2 months and the RLS symptons are considerably alleviated, though not entirely gone. She said she began to notice relief within a week of taking the new medication. She will let me know in another month or two whether it has gotten better. But as she said, " This RLS I can live with. I wish it would go away entirely, but at least it isn't driving me crazy. " Just passing on the information. Sorry, men, I don't think this will help you. But some of you women on estrogen therapy may check into it.
