>I was wondering if anyone has tried using trazodone (?

Hi ,

I was on trazadone last year. It worked good for several months - I was

sleeping well and the only problem was a little bit of hangover in the

morning. However, I began having lots of trouble with nausea that

progressed to vomiting. Lots of stomach pain, too. I ended up having a gall

bladder ultrasound done because of the severe pain. Luckily, it was just

the trazadone. Once I quit taking the med, all the symptoms went away. So

just be aware of these side effects just in case.

I hope the increased dose works for you!

To and and All,

I have taken Trazadone (not every night, about every

other night) to help me sleep for several years (along

with Sinemet) - I have not noticied any problems or

side effects. It is a little harder to wake up on the

mornings after I take it, but I manage and it does

help me rest.

Is there any one here who wakes up most mornings with a headache so bad that you

cannot move your head. You just have to lay there until you can think. I use

to get up with those headaches but I found out that I couldn't think, and I

would run into doors, and the wall, so I just started easing my way to the

surface, and sometimes, I still have to lay there for a half an hour.

re: Trazadone

Trazadone isn't a sleeping pill. It is an antidepressant that promotes

sleep. I've been taking it for 10 years and it helps me so much. It is not

addicting and doesn't have a lot of side affects. The only one I experienced

was a dry mouth and nose. I drink a lot of water which helps with general

health anyway. I also use a humidifier in the house if it bothers me much

but over the years the dryness has subsided and I don't notice it now.

Over 10 years I have increased the dosage 100mg and am very satisfied with

the results. Different meds work for different folks....

Are you taking any other anti-depressants with it? My doctor just put me on

it and I am also on 40 mg of Prozac.
