Guest guest
Hi Becca, sounds like a nightmare. I can't believe that with your medical history, and probably like me, tests, tests and more tests also x rays, emgs, scans, medical documentation, doctors letters, etc., that you got denied. And that is has taken all this time to get to the Court of Appeals. Well, keep appealing, and you know, you ARE entitled to the back benefits when this is finalized. (you know, the time it took while your claim was being considered/reconsidered/appealed, etc.) I know some people with other disabilities who actually hired attorneys to help them get their " rightful " benefits. There is a cap on the amount the attorney can charge once a claim is finalized. Gretchen Note to our international members again: something I forgot to put in my earlier message: this disability insurance that can be received in monthly payments from the government is based on wages while one worked. So in effect, persons who have worked, then become disabled, have already paid for this.
