Guest guest
Hello over there. In the autumns I both pick and eat a lot of bluebarrys. Some of them I put in the freezer. In the old days I think collecting bluebarrys where important for the people living up here in the north. Bluebarryjam and perhaps drought bluebarrys (to make soup of etc) where for many people (at least the poor ones) important as a complement to a very simple diet in the winters. When I now think about picking blubarrys its always more hard in the beginning. I stumble and I pick very longsam. In the beginning I also eat very many bluebarrys directly as I like them so much. After a while its easier to pick, I don´t stumble so much and I pick faster. I have always thought that this depends on " practise " , the more you do something the easier it gets. But perhaps there is something in the bluebarrys making its easier to pick them? (Its a hard work to pick them, you must have quite a good balance to not stumbling in the wood and a good coordinaton so you can pick the berrys one by one).
