Guest guest
Hi Barbara Welcome to the group. I have just started within the last 2 months on Clonazepam (can't remember the dosage, I'm at work) and Prozac (20mg once a day). I have been sleeping very well on this combo and since I have been off of the Lorazepam, I have resumed dreaming. I didn't really notice I had not been dreaming until it came up in conversations here. I have really noticed the return of dreaming...and the quality of the dreams...happy, light, warm, upbeat dreams. Such a lovely pleasure. For me the Prozac has not bothered my RLS nor my sleep, although I've heard others complaining that they have serious problems with it. I must be lucky on this one. I also take Xalatan drops in my eyes for Glaucoma, Zocor for high cholesterol, Motrin for Arthritis and occasional other drugs for pain or my spastic colon, etc. Sometimes feel that I am going to rattle when I walk. Being one who hates to take medication of any kind this is hard for me to do...thus the Prozac...it is depressing to think that I will spend the rest of my life on some drug or another to maintain at least a semi-active life. Oh well...I'll do what I must do...as the alternative " ain't " much of a fun thought, LOLOL. Hope this helps Judith
Guest guest
Judith, it bothers me, too, when I have to take so many meds. I took Zocor and some of the other cholestrol meds for about 10 years--on and off. Then my liver functions started rising. The first dr. I went to didn't take liver functions--just continued to prescribe for about five years. Now, I go to a very large clinic in Houston with many satellite offices. Doc said it was a policy of the clinic to check liver functions every six months when on this type of medication. I didn't take any cholestrol meds for about six months. Six weeks ago, my cholestrol had shot up to 385 and triglicerides about the same (doc says my liver manufactures too much cholestrol and is heridetary). My sister read about a natural stuff in Prevention magazine called Gugulipids I got it at the health food store. I took one a day for six weeks and my cholestrol came down *100* points!!!! The doc couldn't believe it. And it made a believer out of me! Jude West wrote: > > > Hi Barbara > > Welcome to the group.
