Guest guest
Jack: Good thing that you don't stress out too bad (about the car). It if was for me, I'd be so stressed out, I'd be in a full-blown attack. Sorry I haven't commuicated with the group much lately, but I'm still fighting this pneumonia/bronchitis crap. Don't think it's ever going to go away. As a matter of fact, I did go back to work this week, for the first time after 5 weeks off and I've worked a grand total of 5.5 hours on Mon., 8 on Tues, and because I wore myself out Tuesday, I managed to pull 6.5 hours yesterday, and that was pushing it. I'm off today, considering the fact that I called my doctor yesterday with some recurring symptoms. She is off on Wed., so they called me in some more Prednisone and cough medication and then my doc called me this morning and worked me in. In about 30 minutes I'm heading for the hospital to have chest x-rays done and a bronchoscopy also done. Sounds like a fun afternoon, huh? She said that the test wouldn't take too long, they would give me a mild sedative to calm me, completely numb my throat and then, if needed, they can take a sample of the lung tissue for biopsy while their in there. For some reason, I'm just not responsding well to any of these treatments, but there is one good thing about it, my RLS has been non-existent now for several weeks. Of course, I've been on some real combinations of broncho-dilators, cough medications w/codeine and I just recently, about a week ago, changed from Vicodin to Ultram. So far, so good. I'm waiting on a call from my primary doctor about changing from the Xanax to Prosom and see if that makes any difference (rotation, rotation, etc.) I seem to build up a tolerance quite quickly to meds, so they don't last long for me (3-6 months or so) and then it's back to something else, or on to something new. Haven't ever taken the Prosom, so if there are any of you out there who are, I'd love to hear from you about it. Thanks (and restless days and nights) Jodi Jack or Sue or Jackie wrote: > > > i've noticed a huge decrease in my rls symptoms today - in fact i might > even be permanently cured!!!!!!!!!! no need for traditional medicines no > need for alternatives of any type - all i needed was one of the great snow > storms of this century........wind chill below zero winds of over 40 mph > and right around 2 feet of snow so far ---- my car is in my driveway > somewhere and i can't find it. > > JACK > send care packages to western nys as soon as possible > > > http://www.frontiernet.net/~goviers/webpage.html > updated 3/2/99. > > Don't bother me. Guest guest
It's funny. Jack and I live only a few miles apart, but seem to experience such different weather. My anemometer only recored a single 30 mph gust today. Most of the time the wind 15 mph or less. Wind chill is based on if you go outside naked, which I don't do, so it doesn't count. Actual temp. right now is 25 deg. F. and it hit 32 briefly this afternoon when the sun was out for awhile. Two plus feet of snow I agree with-- but I remember may greater storms this century. The blizzard of '66 for one. As to the RLS cure-- after shoveling for several hours, I came in for a nap. Boy did the RLS ever kick in!! Worst daytime RLS in a long time. So Jack, your cure ain't universal. --, 52 (for four more days, also snowbound in western NYS. ---Jack or Sue or Jackie goviers@...> wrote: > > > > i've noticed a huge decrease in my rls symptoms today - in fact i might > even be permanently cured!!!!!!!!!! no need for traditional medicines no > need for alternatives of any type - all i needed was one of the great snow > storms of this century........wind chill below zero winds of over 40 mph > and right around 2 feet of snow so far ---- my car is in my driveway > somewhere and i can't find it. > > > JACK > send care packages to western nys as soon as possible > > > http://www.frontiernet.net/~goviers/webpage.html > updated 3/2/99. > > Don't bother me.
