Hello All,

I have been suffering from chronic hip pain for approx 5+yrs. At first the

pain was in my knee and it was blamed on my RLS. Then I went to physical

therapy and it went to my hip. Why, it's still a mystery. For years it was

blamed on my RLS and that's how I started on the Neurontin-neuropathic pain.

Well it didn't work for that, but it did quite my PLMS alot. So, I'm still on

it. After years of my complaining, finally, I am beginning a series of nerve

blocks in my obturator nerve. What a difference. The pain Dr. seems to think

that I may have a nerve entrapment in the area of the femoral nerve ,artery

and vein.I had significant relief from the pain, but WOW, did I feel my RLS!!

Could have been a reaction to the block, I'll know when I have the next one

on the 21rst-can't wait! Anyway, the pain is deep and constant. Of course,

the weather makes it worse as does stress and my menstral. These affect both

my hip and RLS. But I had went to a Chiropractor, Orthopedist, Rheumatologist

and an Actupuncturist. All, to no avail-unfortunately.

I do agree that it's easy for both the person and the Dr's to blame

everything on RLS, but I know from personal experience that it's not always

the case. To include constant and persistant sleep depravation can also cause

a host of health problems in and of it's self. If you know in your heart that

another symptom is unrelated to RLS, then you must be adament in pursuing the

cause.

Just my opinion Take care le R.I.
