Guest guest
I also have a problem explaining why I can't sit still. I have a very few close friends who know and understand this rls thing, but I don't feel comfortable going into a description with others- I guess I have a reluctance to share personal problems with acquaintances and casual friends, especially one like this that is so hard to describe. So if my restlessness becomes obvious, I just say my legs really bother me when I sit for too long - end of discussion. People can understand this better than the more medical explanation. I realize I'm not doing anything to further the general population's awareness of rls, but that's not my goal or my desire. I'm like this about other things as well, and have been told that by sharing I would help others, but call me selfish or whatever, it's well beyond my comfort zone. Plus, I'm just so sick of this damn thing, I don't even want to talk about it! I just want it to go away! Maybe in my next life. ne, 58, Lawrenceville, NJ ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. Guest guest
You know it's true. I've about reached the point where I don't bother explaining my " odd " behavior either. All my relatives and close friends are aware of this debilating disaster we call RLS and no one else seems to understand or even want to hear about it. In the end, it would seem, the major party to be made aware of our suffering is the medical community as they are the ones to conduct research to rid us of this and in the meantime they are the only ones who can help us carry on while the research is in progress. Other than that, along with the medications we can help each other by suggesting other methods we use to keep us from sinking into insanity. CHEERS!! He gets into more mischief than a 2-year old toddler!!
