Guest guest
We did BAER testing on our dalmatian puppies to test their hearing! I didn't know it was a human test too! when they are about 6 weeks old, they go to a vet in baltimore to have the test performed, since deafness is a hidden trait in dalmatians. My son Larry, now 20, had an EMG done at Childrens' Hospital in DC when he was 2. THey didn't let us stay in the room, and we could hear him screaming through an insulated metal door. The neurologist wanted us to come back every year for their records...fat chance. After that test, he was afraid of electrical cords, extensions, dentist wires, etc. for the next 7 years. If someone was cutting their grass with an electrical lawn mower, we had to go the other way. And sandals, I've worn birkenstocks for arch support for years, but my mom got me some german ones at the beach last summer that have a back suport, sheepskin lining, feel like slippers. and not too clunky. I think the name is Haflinger, they aren't cheap though. And I found a nice 20 dollar pair at Famous Footwear with good support arches too. Between the two of them price wise, i guess it averages out! Martha
