Serzone & RLS

Hello...I'm new to this group, having just discovered that the horrible

feelings in my legs had a name, and that other people had it too. My

symptoms started about 3 weeks ago. I'm agoraphobic, and have been

taking anit-panic medications of one kind or another for 13 years. I

recently got sick of the side effects and the seemingly endless search

for the " perfect drug " for the panic attacks. So I stopped taking my

meds; I wanted to give my body a break and start again with a clean

slate. That's when the RLS started. I don't know if it's been there for

years and was just covered up by the medications that I was taking, or

if the onset was brought on by my stopping my meds. Anyway, when I did

go back to my psychiatrist, she put me on Serzone. I've now been on it

for 5 days, and my symptoms have STOPPED. I realize that everyone is

different, and what works for me might not work for you, but the way I

figure it, it's worth a shot! *G* ANYTHING to lessen or eliminate those

horrible feelings in my/your legs. I hope that this information can help

someone in the group.

I've really enjoyed the posts from this support group; they've helped me

so much. For what it's worth, I value the jokes and inspirational

messages just as much as the technical information. I'm a firm believer

in laughter as great therapy.

Wishing everyone a peaceful, restful night,
