Most of the concern over melatonin is directed at people who take huge quantities of it to combat aging. They actually give themselves melatonin injections as part of a life extension program. This has doctors alarmed, and for good reason I think. Taking 1.5 to 3 gm of melatonin at night as a sleep aid is less of a concern. I wouldn't take more than 3 gm a night though, and I am careful to buy from companies I trust. >(ok, where is that snow I asked for?) It's pretty warm and melty here, but I'm sure we'll get more snow before spring. I'll send you some.
