CFS must be diagnosed by a doctor and medical lab tests. The symptoms that we

feel, all the aches and pains, are also the same with other illnesses as you

all know. First all the other illnesses must be eliminated. This involves lab

and x-ray tests up the kazoo. You also must have your blood show Epstein

Bahr Virus (CFS) which by the way most people have it dormant in their blood,

that is why you need the other medical, blood, urine, etc., tests too. You

also must be able to answer yes to a good majority of all the " symptoms " of

CFS. It takes all to diagnose it to make it a true CFS.

I know because I have it. It took 2 1/2 months in-hospital to diagnose me. It

also hit me in the spinal cord and left me paralyzed. CFS has no regard for

the human body and usually hits you where you are most vulnerable. I was

under a lot of work and church stress, bingo my spinal cord got it. I have

been disabled and on SSDI for 14 years.

By the way, my husband has PLMS. We started a support group on Long Island,

New York to get additional help for him. I run it because I have more time.

As I listen to all the RLS patients talk I begin to feel like I have RLS. I

do not. I have a lot of Central Nervous System problems and yes just like RLS

and MS as well, but thank God I do not have RLS or MS Since the support group

my husband is now open to RLS also which I have suspected in him a while now.

His next doctors visit when we go hopefully will shed some light on that.

Hope this helps. I am on here for my husband.

The doctor needs to eliminate other diseases, but I dont think you dont have

to show EBV.

Additional resource is news:alt.med.cfs.
