Jodi, Have you ever tried any of the opiate drugs?I've gone through all of the

usual and most of the unusual approachs to RLS over the years but about ten

years ago Dr. Mahowald, who was President of the Sleep Disorder Association,

persuaded me that the opiate drugs, for someone with severe RLS, were often

the best and virtually always a non-addictive, remedy. I now take a low dose

methadone with Mirapex and with very good results. I would have been a total

basket case the past several years without this approach. Unlike the

benzodiazapenes and anti Parkinson drugs, there is very little problem with

paradoxical effect over time. Sweet dreams. Glenn
