Guest guest
Dear Group... Jack, who's opinion I treasure, just wrote to me in shock about my letter to the group. I'm betting he's not the only one that interpreted it wrongly, so I'm responding to the group. First...THANK YOU, Jack...for trusting me and asking ME if it was meant the way you took it. Now...NO, Jack, it was not venomous at all. Not one single bit. You're right, I've had my differences with Dr. Levin, but I thoroughly recognize and appreciate the good and generous service he did for our group. I have no problems at all with that, or with his expertise. NONE. I was merely suggesting, with NO VENOMOUS tones at all in that letter, that he might consider continuing his service in another manner that would be less time consuming for him, than going through all the non-medical emails of our group. Rather than lose his expertise and generosity altogether, I was suggesting someone request that he start his own list maybe for RLS Medical support. It just seemed like a great way to keep him around and the more I think about it, it would be a great service to RLS sufferers with a need to know about their meds and options. The other option would be to get everyone to put subject lines in letters, like RLS: FOR DR. LEVIN And have him fix his filter on his email to trash all RLS letters that don't say that in the subject line. But as we all know...even trashing letters takes valuable time. There's one other thing, though. He really might want to be done with this for now. He mentioned mounting responsibilities that would keep him from having time. I just thought that if he had time for the medical letters, but just not for all the others...then this might be a way of keeping his services available. And the letter about the pharmacist, was just an honest reminder that they are there and available. I hate to see people sound so lost, with the departure of Dr. Levin's advice. Not because they'll miss Dr. Levin, but because I hate to see anyone feel so cut off and lost for ANY reason. I can't personally get him to return, but I can make suggestions on where else to get help. I hope this clarifies it, Jack. There was nothing nasty in those letters of mine. And I definitely do NOT want this to be a one sided group. If I want a group of just alternative methods, I will give myself the same advice I was suggesting for Dr. Levin. I will start a separate group. But I do NOT want that, right now. My advice was a sincere suggestion of another option to pursue. Hope this helps, Jill, 46 Payson, AZ http://www.netzone.com/~gunzel/rls.html
