<< Hi this is Jeanie,

I will never forget practicing the steps going up to the pulpit area for my

wedding. I was so afraid I would fall. Back then I could do steps as long

as I kept going. Well, I wasn't about to hurry up the steps, not with a

long

gown.

Two years later I was in my sisters wedding only a couple of days after

giving birth to my daughter. My sister had a tall stoll (sp) waiting up

front for me to balance against.

Then 6 years later my girl friends wedding, again another long gown.... I

was petrified... The man I walked with wasn't familiar with my condition

and

so I really had to hang on for dear life.

My father was a minister and none of the churches he pastored at was

handicap

accessible at the alter up to the pulpit. My poor dad, I don't know how he

managed but he did.... He also has CMT... He leaned against the pulpit alot

and organized the communion table so that he could use it then the pulpit to

go up and down the steps....

Mayby one day the church will open thier eyes..... I do hope it's sooner

than later. Jeanie
