Guest guest
Hi I am still trying to catch up on mail after my DOWN DAYS. There were so many people concerned about why I was cutting down the Prozac that I thought I would reply to everyone at once. I wanted to cut back on the Prozac (actually to change to another) because it really seems to make my rls/plmd and general twitching much worse. My local doctor didn't want to switch me and seemed to want me to talk to the Neurologist/sleep study doctor whose office did my sleep study. He is only in town once a month. As my whole study wasn't back yet, the receptionist wouldn't give me an appointment until April. She said he wouldn't do anything with my RX until the whole study report was back. I asked the group generally for advice on weaning off Prozac so I would be ready for another RX in time for my appointment. I had a few good ideas but no one TOLD me to go off it. By the way St. 's wort works well for some according to my doctor, but he said it is only about 1/10 as potent as Prozac so it wouldn't be strong enough for me. So for now I will just have to stay with the Prozac, opting for more RLS and LESS depression. Thanks for your concern folks, 48, in the Catch 22 Zone, Nevada
