Ditto on the experience with Restoril. It worked wonderfully on me for about 6

months, for my insomnia and counterracting the side effects of the other RLS

drugs, but it soon lost it's effectiveness, I so went on to another med. I

didn't have alot of trouble stopping it, but you have to take it slowly, as with

most meds. I liked the feeling of waking up refreshed, instead of groggy and

drugged out each morning, but this medication is intended for " short-term " use,

as explained by my doctor. Seems that we wind up " rotating " meds every six

months or so, doesn't it? I'm in the process of doing that now, as my " old

faithfuls " are losing their effectiveness and my doctor and I have discussed

that. We just got to try and find out what works and stick with it until it

doesn't with this disorder. By the way, I was on the 30 mg per night dosage when

I took it. Might be on it again, here, real soon, judging by the way my insomnia

has been, but the meds that I'm on for the pneumonia and acute bronchitis, etc.

have got my system all out of whack, too. The RLS has been giving me a pretty

good fight the last couple of days since I've been home for the hospital. It's

flaring up at all sorts of weird times, and when you're under orders for

complete bedrest, it's really a bitch. I'm just trying to deal with it and still

get the rest that I need to recuperate from the pneumonia.

Take care,

Jodi
