Guest guest
Sorry for the delay in responding but I just got my arm out of the brace from dislocating my elbow. I would like to say that I had the triple arthodesis surgery on both ankles/feet when I was 12 yrs. old. I was 8 yrs. old when diagnosed. I did not need AFO's until I broke my leg going down stairs (which created spiral fractures since the surgery fuses your ankles and it is like wearing ski boots you break above where it's braced, etc.) The surgery is in place of the AFO;s. The surgery got me through the growing up years and I could accept AFO's better in my 30's than in my teens. HE DOS'NT TALK ENOUGH THOUGH AND I DON'T THINK HE KNOWS ALLOT ABOUT CMT. I NEED TO GO BACK THIS YEAR CAUSE HE DIDN'T DO THE TOP OF MY FOOT( TOE OSTOMY) AND MY LEFT FOOT IS LEANING TO THE OUT SIDE AGAIN AND I AM REALLY MAD CAUSE WE TALKED ABOUT IT AND HE SAID HE DID'NT THINK I NEEDED IT DONE, BUT ON THE RIGHT FOOT HE DID IT AND SO FAR ALL IS WELL.DO YOU WALK COMPLETLEY STRIGHT??
