Guest guest
Thank you Dr. Levin, for that good lesson in independence! You are so correct that it is really easy to find a tremendous amount of information on just about anything in the world. You can even type in the word " Search Engines " and learn about what it is you are doing and the best way to do it. In certain ones, the words " and " , " or " , " not " , " + " , " - " can possibly make a difference. I always use cyber411, where you can check off up to 16 different search engines that will work all at once to bring you information on the words that you have typed in. Sometimes you will find things listed in your search results that seem to have no relation to the words you sent out........but somehow, some way, they do. I like to bookmark this results page and take my time checking each one out as I am able to. Sometimes I find the most interesting, neatest sites......not what I was looking for.......but still something of value to me. And from all of these sites, I find links to even more sites........it just goes on and on and on! If anyone out there is not familiar with using search engines, PLEASE contact one of us to help you get started. You will not believe what you will find. Dr. Levin is so right.......many times there will be a question to the group that is only answered when someone uses one of these engines. You could be doing this yourself and not having to wait for someone else, as well as receiving at least 10 times the amount of information we might give you. You can type ANY word in here.......a disease, a symptom, a drug, a supplement, a place, an ingredient, an action, a therapy, a test, ANYTHING!!! Of course, if someone is at work or does not have the time to do this immediately, don't hesitate to ask the group......someone here will be happy to do it for you. Our point is just that this is such an easily accessed resource, and actually the main purpose of the internet...........take advantage of it!!! I am including the cyber411 URL for anyone desiring to tuck it away in their favorite places for easy access. The uninitiated should please feel free to ask any questions they have regarding how to use this system or how to deal with duplicate names of sites, etc. Thank you so much for bringing this issue up, Dr. L., I've been thinking about this for a long time. Ho ho ho everybody........time to deck the halls..........hmmmmmm, I wonder what that will bring up at cyber411........I'll let you know.......... Off to a good start today, Connie http://209.116.217.64/main.htm " >SEARCH - cyber411 search engines
