Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just wanted to share with you all my incredible experience last night. I was experiencing augmentation from Sinemet, so I wanted to stop taking it but was afraid that withdrawal might induce really bad RLS. First I stopped taking Benedryl, which I've been taking every night for years. That wasn't so bad. I realized that I sleep just fine for the first 4 hours without Benedryl, and Benedryl only lasts 4 hours anyway so why keep taking it? But I've been afraid to stop Sinemet. One or two nights when I forgot to take it my body went spinning into violent RLS, so I was expecting some withdrawal. I stopped in at a local alternative health center to ask about herbal supplements. The lady there looked it up in her reference book and xeroxed some pages for me. One thing I hadn't tried before which was highly recommended was a combination of chelated Calcium (1500-2000 mg), magnesium (1000 mg), and melatonin (3mg) before bed. So I bought some and took it last night. I did NOT take my Sinemet, but I did have some Tension Tamer tea like I've been doing every night. I slept perfectly! NO RLS, so insomnia, no withdrawal. I feel almost euphoric this morning, it's the first good night's sleep I've had since Thanksgiving. I realize that one night's sleep does not a cure make, but it was such a relief to bypass Sinemet withdrawal. At least I have one more regimen in my " bag of tricks " as Jill would call it. Sweet sleep to all, Kate ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
