Hey Jim, Kim here !!! I am on S.S.Disability !!! I got

on it about 10 years ago, but at that time I didn't know

what was wrong with me !!! I stayed on it for about 5

years and decided I was going back to work !!! I am a

mechanic by trade, so I worked for a golf course as there

mechanic for the lawn equipment and golf carts !!! I

worked for 3 years, falling constently, couldn't hold on

to wrenches, ETC: !!! I had a great boss that understood

what I was going through and was very understanding !!! I

finally had to quit because I was hurting myself more than

I was helping myself !!! I went back on my S.S. without

any problems, even after 3 years of trying to work !!!

You will be turned down the first time,(everyone is) This

is when you get an attorney that knows the S.S. laws !!!

Most people try to get on without that help and usally

don't succeed for a very long time !!! My friend waited 6

years before he got any S.S. without the help of an

attorney !!! S.S. has recognized CMT as a disabling disease

and you will have a good chance of getting on it with the

help of a good doctor and an attorney !!! They will most

likely have you go see one of there doctors also !!! I was

dxd. with CMT about the begining of 1999 !!! Good Luck !!!

My CMT has gotten alot worse over the past 2-3 years !!!

I am 44 and since I turned 40 it has progressed from just

my feet and legs to my hands and fingers !!! Restfull

sleep and no- stress are key factors in having a good CMT

day for me !!!

In the 80's, I was into DISCO dancing, and my dance

partner and I won many contest's !!! So you can tell my CMT

wasn't acting up in that part of my life !!! HA!!!HA!!!

There is no trace of CMT in my family history either,

all the way back to my great grandfathers and grandmothers!
