Guest guest
Hi Carolyn and all, It does take me awhile in bed to 'get comfortable' with my legs and back.(and 2 dogs bouncing around!) About Kava, I have tried the real thing in Fiji which had a real sedative effect, although I could function, sort of like drinking alcohol without walking like a drunk (lol). The Kava there was drank out of a big communal bowl, there is a whole ritual/ceremony connected with it. The Kava supplements I tried here in the States didn't do much. I was better off with my meditation prorgram. Somewhere on the Net I saw that Kava has negative interractions with anti-depressants, both tri-cyclic and SSRI's. I will try to find this. If you search our CMTUS index/archives for Kava, there may be some former posts about it. As for other muscle relaxants, I got really hooked years ago on Valium. Took me about 5 years to get off of it.Kicking valium was the worst. Recently, for my initial back pain was given Robaxin and had a good experience with that. Could drive on that too.
